Pick List Values
I need to hide / Restrict user from seeing values on the Pick List statue on Incident
But the issue is in other places lick when creating external task , i need to change the status of the ticket to Pending Vendor
By using the validation on the pick list , and create external task , it give me that the status (pending vendor ) is not on the validation list
it should be another way , right ? to not showing it on the list but it works when needed on other places

In conjunction with this new feature I am interested in two things:
a) what is the proper certificate template (in regards to settings) to use for the certificate when deploying from an internal CA?
b) does the EM client which obviously uses the private key/certificate honor a possible certificate revocation by checking the CRL's?

Wie Markus schon geschrieben hat wären die Logs hilfreich.
Ansonsten hatte ich das Phänomen auch schon mal. Dort konnte ich es lösen das ich die zusätzlichen Treiber erst nach dem Betriebssystem installiert habe.

Logon issues
HI,
We are using avalanche wavelink 6.1 on windows server 2016 with SQL Server 2008 and have some issues with the logon to the web application.
After entering the credentials some users are not forwarded to inventory.jsf
For other users it works fine, even on the same PC, so you can logon to the web Plattform on one machine with a user and with another user not.
We did modify dbo.users to delete passwords and change the logged_in column to 0 for the users not beeing able to logon.
But this only solved the problem once and is not working always.
Does anybody have a solution for that?

How to apply single read-only rule on all fields based on a condition(Status= Closed)
Hello everyone.
While I am implementing Service manager, I wanted to apply Reopen Quick Action on Closed incident. After selecting "allow editing when Business Object is in Final State" in incident Object permission, as shown in the first step here: How to reopen a CLOSED incident when receiving a new related email , Reopen Quick action got to work as required. But the thing is that when changing the status into Closed, you will be able to update the fields and save the record, which is wrong in the default case, as all fields should be read-only when setting the status to Closed. However, incident record becomes read-only when "allow editing when Business Object is in Final State" is false(not checked), but I will not be able to use Reopen Quick action.
Any idea of how to apply read-only rule on all fields when status is Closed with the ability to use Reopen Quick Action?

I just checked the behaviour with DSM 2018.1.2 Patch 4474 and can confirm to not receive the installation mode.
But I also did not get the auto completion for this parameter, neither for CurrentPolicyInstance nor for CallingPolicyInstance so I think it works as designed: it is not possible to receive this value - even if it seems to be possible to retrieve the value of the current package because the definition displays this value for the current policy instance:
%CurrentPolicyInstance.PolicyInstanceServer.ExecutionMode%
But have a look at this value (Policy instance (server) => Status):
%CallingPolicyInstance.PolicyInstanceServer.State%
It seems this will be the value you are looking for.

Thanks Doug. Yes I did check the dbalias.ini and yes it is pointing to the correct database so that's cleared up any suspected anomalies on the remote machine. The problem remains on the server where an attempt to log in produces the dialog "Could not login into GoldMine Incorrect Password!" using either my own username and password or the MASTER login and password. An authoritative for this error message to be thrown would help me to know where to look.

Manual update of IM_Incident_Resolution (under SQL)
In the process of mapping and test import of resolutions into the LANDESK, I noticed that the user and the date, time resolution was completed will not map correctly to LANDESK as the system throws exception errors. I would like to know if it is safe to manually update the tables in SQL for the following fields post import into LANDESK.
I would appreciate anyone's feedback on the safety and updating of the following fields manually in SQL table.
1. [im_creation_user_guid]
2. [im_last_update_user_guid]
3.[im_creation_date]
4. [im_last_update]

Hello Jedtho. At the moment there is no other way to sort these within the console. The filter will show you the items you want. There is also no configuration file or registry entry you can apply that will change this behaviour. Should you have an example of this and want to investigate on this it is possible to create a case at support.

Delete custom key added in BIOS
Hello,
I need to add some custom fields for my inventory, and I have added them in the BIOS root for a machine.
These fields are already propagated to other machines (I used the BIOS field as root to be sure that all the inventoried machines have it), but now I want to know how to completely delete some custom registry string fields.
I did a research and I found some tips about how to delete a windows registry key, that would be the easiest way, but I can't find anything about non-windows registry keys.
Is it possible to delete them with a script or something?
I want to avoid to touch the SQL database.
side question: where do you usually put your custom registry fields? I see that there is the Custom Data root for machines, but I'm wondering if the problem would be the same since I can't find these keys inside Windows registry.
